Information You Submit
Text entered in a search form, such as a name, telephone number, or address, goes to the outside provider that supplies the search results. Our servers do not retain a separate copy of those searches. A direct message to us contains only what you choose to send, and we use that material to answer the message.
Automatic Technical Data
Our hosting systems create ordinary server logs. They can contain an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregate data to maintain the service and learn which resources visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How We Use Information
Technical and contact information helps us operate the service, diagnose faults, measure overall traffic, improve content, and reply to inquiries. We neither sell a visitor list nor assemble individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to San Leandro resources, Alameda County and California offices, library collections, and outside search services. Information sent to one of those services is controlled by its own privacy terms. The same is true for sponsored search results, which come from a separate company.
Parties That Process Data
Hosting and support vendors process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic technical data already described. We may disclose information when valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise distribute visitor data.
Safeguards and Retention
An encrypted connection serves the site. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for operations and the uses stated above. Because visitor accounts are not offered, we hold no user password or account profile.
Visitors Under Age 18
This service is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if a minor submitted personal data, and we will remove it.
California Privacy Choices
California residents may have access, correction, or deletion rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. The state's Delete Act also supports the DROP deletion platform for registered data brokers. We hold little visitor data, so a request normally means checking our contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. Public records controlled by San Leandro, Alameda County, or California agencies fall outside our control, and any correction or suppression request must go to the custodian.
